So, where are we going? Check out the forecast here. As situations change, we will adjust our route. Check the latest route changes in the right column.

We will especially adjust our schedule to see special things along the route — things that will make our trip more memorable, be they thrilling adventures, fascinating people with incredible stories of either realized or demoralized dreams, and interesting places of historic or bizzare significance. Submit ideas to us of what we should see, after you check out our route

In General

Our route will begin at the Pacific Ocean in the far northwest corner of Washington State. We'll work our way across Washington and then veer up toward the northern part of Montana (Section 1). We'll stick pretty close to the Canadian border up through North Dakota (Section 2). A big swoop down the Mississippi Valley through Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa until we get low enough to duck under Lake Michigan (Section 3). Then it's straight across till we hit Lake Erie in Ohio (Section 4). We'll follow Lake Erie up to NY state and launch across the bottom portion of New York, finally touching our wheels into the Atlantic on one of the beaches in Brooklyn (Section 5).
